Positioning Yourself with Workshops and Seminars

One of the best ways to increase your perceived value to potential customers and clients is to make yourself the "obvious expert".

And one of the best ways to become the obvious expert is to run workshops and seminars that demonstrate your expertise, introduce you to potential customers and even make you money at the same time.

A few years ago, after many months of research and pulling together many years' practical experience, I wrote a manual all about planning, promoting and running your own workshops and seminars. I called it Niche Seminar Secrets and it was published and on sale for £197. Even at that price, the publisher said I had "over-delivered..."

It got great reviews from the likes of Mark Anastasi and Paul Conway and it's been on sale ever since.

The manual has been updated several times since it was published, including late in 2010 and it's just been updated again, for 2012. Even more important, The Complete Secrets of Seminar Success is now available from Amazon for Kindle and at a fraction of the original price - just $9.99, or £6.54 in the UK (including VAT).

You don't have to buy a Kindle to read Kindle books, by the way - you can simply download a free app from the Kindle site, the same place you get the books. Then you can download loads of free books, hundreds of bargains and - most important - The Complete Secrets of Seminar Success!

Last Chance to Build a Seminar Business at This Price

I'll be relaunching my acclaimed seminar planning product Niche Seminar Secrets soon, and developing it into a much bigger product, probably including video tutorials, an associated website and more - obviously at a significantly higher price.

Before I do that, though, I wanted to give you a last chance to get the manual at the old price, AND to do something even more worthwhile:

We've all been shocked and dismayed by the news of yet more drought and famine in parts of Africa and I've decided to donate 75% of sales of NSS this month to the famine appeal.

For that reason there's no special discount or valuable bonuses, EXCEPT that all purchasers of Niche Seminar Secrets are entitled to updates of the manual as and when they happen. That's generally about every two years but with a new product already in the pipeline it could happen sooner.

The manual was updated in 2010, so it's as current as you need it to be, although it does still have an ugly cover! Since it's a downloadable pdf ebook I hardly think that will matter. It's still everything you need to start, build and profit from your own seminar business.

In preparation for the new edition I've moved the Clickbank-approved sales letter to the Seminar Secrets blog and you can buy it directly from there in a matter of minutes.

Of course, it's covered by Clickbank's guarantee but remember 75% of proceeds are going to the famine appeal. It's powerful stuff but only if you use it!

Goal Setting that WORKS

Hello again

The other day I was chatting with a coach from Nightingale Conant and the subject of goal setting came up.

Now, we all 'know' that goal setting works, except that sometimes it doesn't seem to work at all. In our frustration and disappointment, we probably blame ourselves for 'failing' when that happens, instead of asking why setting that goal didn't bring about the desired result.

Of course, we have to take action to make things happen, but even so, sometimes the goal slips further away, rather than getting closer. The harder we try, sometimes, the further away our goal seems to get.

But my friend from Nightingale Conant had an interesting take on this. Without him actually saying as much, the inference I drew was this:

Goals can all too easily seem like dreams. They're unreal, because they haven't been achieved yet, and although Neuro-Linguistic Programming might tell us we have to frame our goals in the present, our subconscious isn't always so easily fooled.

So, a goal is something we can all too easily fantasise about, because it isn't real.

But what did my coach friend say to trigger this line of thought?

It was simple, really. He just asked this:

'In an ideal world, if everything had gone to plan, where would you and your business be NOW?'

The word 'now', coupled with the pain of now not being the perfect place we hoped for, is enough to give real weight to our intentions to get there, and SOON!

Try thinking of your goals like this and see if it helps.

Good luck and please let me know how you get on!

Roy

PS. My goals were sufficiently reset that we gained three new clients within a week and finally relaunched Niche Seminar Secrets for the US market. Add a few personal matters that we resolved and I think you can safely say that little 30-minute chat was very worthwhile!

Seminar Secrets for $1

Hello again

Apologies for the lack of new content here, although you'll find some recent fresh articles on my Seminar Secrets and Marketing Manual blogs.

I've been busily rewriting the copy for my Niche Seminar Secrets website but until I'm ready to upload it, the one dollar offer will continue at Niche Seminar Secrets.

But be warned: I expect to have the new Niche Seminar Secrets sales page up by Tuesday - and the Seminar Secrets one dollar offer will then be history!

Your Recipe For Success

Hello again

A nineteenth-century recipe for Jugged Hare began with the immortal line:

'First, catch your hare'.

If you've ever seen a hare run, you'll know that's a bit like saying, 'First, get thousands of visitors to your website'.

That's next to impossible unless you're already a big player online.

So, in order to eat, we might have to settle for something a bit slower-moving than a hare, at least for now.

How about a seated audience?

Given that most website visitors only linger for a few seconds and most direct mail readers don't actually read ... might an hour or so of someone's attention give you a better chance of communicating your benefits to them?

I'd say so. Coaches, trainers and overseas property companies know so. Even Internet marketers know their best audience is one that sits still and listens, with no distraction from the million and one other Internet marketers' emails.

In other words, seminars sell. Why else would Armand Morin, Andrew Reynolds, Sean Roach, Ted Nicholas, Simon Coulson, Mark Anastasi (and a load more besides ) put them on?

After all, if they wanted to be on stage they could join an amateur dramatic group! (Or, in Simon's case, a Coldplay tribute band...)

No, seminars sell. For seventeen dollars you can find out once and for all how well they can sell for you, too.

Go to this special Niche Seminar Secrets Page while you decide!

Roy

PS. You get my mentorship when you upgrade. As bonuses go, that's a BONUS. I charge hundreds of dollars a day, normally. You get me for nothing just for upgrading to Niche Seminar Secrets.

Obama's Big Day

Hello again.

Obama's big day is undoubtedly an historic day for the USA and its people, and, in case our American friends were wondering, for millions if not billions of people worldwide.

Which might make anything else that happens today almost redundant. Sure, a lot of people will be making sure the new president's name features prominently in their emails, blog posts and so on, but their messages will mostly still be drowned out today.

So, why bother posting anything today?

Well, life, and even business, goes on. Special offers don't disappear for a day, to magically reappear tomorrow, the world economy might hold its breath for a moment or two, but the 'crisis' carries on. People still eat, drink, sleep, work, make love, care for their children and so on.

And today's posts will still be there tomorrow, for Google, which never sleeps, to spider, index and rate.

I just banked a commission cheque from Armand Morin's Generator Software, my Niche Seminar Secrets One-Dollar Trial is still open and I'm still available to help, advise and support anyone who asks me.

I've been reading up on economics lately - who hasn't? - and I understand more than I did a few weeks ago. I'm more sure than ever that the free market works, by and large, to improve the lives of those it touches. It doesn't hurt to revisit the arguments, though, to see how it might work better for more people.

Meanwhile, business, as I say, goes on.

I'm Anybody's for a Dollar...

Here’s something I’ve observed about Seminar Secrets members:

Most members think it would be quite nice to be able to pocket a six-figure income by learning how to put on their own events. No great surprise there.

Also not surprisingly, most people won’t do it. After all, it’s a new set of skills to learn and something of a journey into the unknown.

Plus, there’s the cost of Niche Seminar Secrets itself, which might be wasted money if you decide it’s not really your thing after all.

That’s why I introduced the one-dollar trial: same content, same bonuses, same guarantee, and yours to try for a month before you pay another cent.

Niche Seminar Secrets will teach you all the skills and guide you on your journey into the unknown.

And here’s what else I’ll offer you:

Me.

You see, I already promise free help and advice to anyone who asks, from here or through either of the Niche Seminar Secrets blogs.

So how is that an incentive for you to invest a whole one dollar?

Well, there is only one of me, so what I can offer is priority. Priority for you as a Niche Seminar Secrets customer means I’ll move heaven and earth to help you first. So, if you need me, the blogs and the other members will have to wait their turn.

And there’s more. When you put on your first event I’ll do my damndest to be there in person, if it’s at all feasible (and we may have to discuss travel costs from the UK...). After all, I’ll have a proven product we can promote from the stage and I’m more than happy to share my profits from the back of the room with you. I’ll be promoting you and your event, as well.

Because, what’s the biggest, most visible product at any event? The event itself! If I really can’t make it I’ll still allow you to sell Niche Seminar Secrets yourself, and still for 50 percent commission.

So, you’ll get your blueprint for success, my hand-holding and advice and even (if possible) me as your first confirmed speaker and an ultra-hot ‘back of the room’ product. By now you should be well and truly in profit!

Anything else you need?

As always, just ask. But you’ll me more certain of a quick reply when you take the one-dollar plunge into Niche Seminar Secrets!

Why Barack Obama Won

Hello again.

Could you be the next Barack Obama?

Probably not - but you could be every bit as successful in your own way, once you understand exactly why Obama beat John McCain and Sarah Palin to become the next president of the USA.
That a man with so little experience was able to beat a respected veteran politician into second place is largely down to a quality that has seen him compared with John Kennedy.

Call it presence, charisma, stature or oratory skill, the fact is that Obama, for all his undoubted qualities, has overcome the odds thanks to his ability to engage his public by speaking to them in a way that makes people like, admire and respect him. In short, Barack Obama is a great public speaker. It's probably a gift, and it's reinforced by his undoubted intelligence and even a sense of destiny, but it's still a skill that we can all become better at.

And you don't have to be on a podium to benefit from confident public speaking, as Obama has shown us: working a crowd - networking to you and me - also helps separate the winners from the runners-up.

Probably the world's most famous expert of the art of speaking to a public is Dale Carnegie - there can't be many people who haven't at least heard of How to Make Friends and Influence People. But Dale Carnegie was expounding on the art of public speaking years earlier.

Now you can read his original masterpiece on the subject, called The Art of Public Speaking, when you accept my offer of three more modern volumes on the topic of success through public speaking, below:

To your success!

Roy

PS. Ok, you will not become the next president of the USA but you will get a lot nearer to being the best that you can be, when you read The Art of Public Speaking.

Free Help For Seminar Organisers

Hello again

If you're planning a seminar or even considering running one, I've an offer you'd be daft to refuse:

Any help you need - just ask.

That's it. Just drop me an email with any questions or problems you might have and I'll do my very best to help. If it's already in Niche Seminar Secrets you should get an answer within a working day. If I have to research it, I may take a little longer to answer.

And if I really can't help, I'll let you know that too. I don't see that happening too often, though.

Just email Roy@RoyEveritt.com

And if you're wondering why I would give you free information and help when I could be selling Niche Seminar Secrets, let's just say I want you to know just how much knowledge and experience is packed into Niche Seminar Secrets and how much help you can still get from me, even after you've bought the manual.

That's because you may be just the kind of joint venture partner I'm looking for, so it will pay me to teach you everything you need to know about staging seminars the Niche Seminar Secrets way.

And if you don't know what questions you need to ask, maybe you need to read Niche Seminar Secrets anyway!

To our success!

Roy

Seminar Secrets

Hello again

It seems a long time since I touched on the topic of seminars and public speaking as a way to improve your visibility and especially to grow your business and bottom line.

It's no coincidence that the subject has come up this week. Having spent last weekend in London at the Focus Marketing Seminar, where we met lots of old friends and celebrated may of their successes, it seemed high time to raise the topic again. If you were there too, I hope you enjoyed the buzz as much as I did. I think it's fair to say Alex Jeffreys was buzzing!

Frankly, I feel refocused - thanks, Alex!

But there's more...

The fact is, I've been working on a product for some time that teaches you everything you need to know about planning, staging and profiting from your own seminar. It's been almost ready for a while, and now it's really, really ready.

As a taster, I've put together a couple of ebooks that will certainly point you in the right direction. I've added a surprise bonus, too.

You can get those at Niche Seminar Secrets, which is endorsed by the president of France, no less (even if he doesn't know it).

Thanks to Sean Roach and Pat Lovell for a great weekend at Heathrow, to all the speakers and to the delegates (even the quiet ones) who made it such a splendid three days. To the speakers who found time to chat in private afterwards (which was most of them), special thanks. Internet marketing really is quite a community.

To see Niche Seminar Secrets played out for real was very reassuring, too! The Focus Marketing Seminar worked extremely well, thanks to following a tried and trusted system. Yours can, too.

And there is nothing in business, nothing at all, that works quite so well as networking at events like last weekend's. That, and giving stuff away - thanks again, Alex Jeffreys.

Speak soon,

Roy

PS. Actually, here's another free ebook for you, that tells you not only about networking but about the next step - power groups, mastermind groups and the synergy that leads to exponential growth. It's powerful stuff, which is why I called it Networking Nitro.

PPS. Catch up with Alex Jeffreys, HERE.
